# Spacing

If Letter Spacing has been applied in a parent block, it will be inherited unless otherwise specified on the selected block.

The Letter Spacing property defines the spacing between the characters of a block of text.

* Select a block.
* Open the Block Inspector.
* Navigate to the Primary or Design Tab.
* Open the Typography Tab.
* Find the Spacing property.
* Enter the desired letter spacing unit.
* Click dot to reset.
