Source

The Video Source property allows you choose whether the video source is static or dynamic.

Modify
  1. Select a video block

  2. Open the Block Inspector

  3. Navigate to the primary tab

  4. Find the Source tab

  5. Select static or dynamic

Remove
  1. Select a Video block

  2. Open the Block Inspector

  3. Navigate to the primary tab

  4. Find the Source tab

  5. Click dot to reset

Static

A static video source will rely on a static URL provided by the user. It will not update automatically depending on the source, and relies on manual changes.

Video URL

The Video URL property only appears if you are using a static URL as a source.

The Video URL property allows you to define the video URL that will be used for the video.

Modify
  1. Select a Video block

  2. Open the Block Inspector

  3. Navigate to the primary tab

  4. Find the Video URL property

  5. Select a video by Clicking on Browse or copy/paste a URL

Remove
  1. Select a Video block

  2. Open the Block Inspector

  3. Navigate to the primary tab

  4. Find the Video URL property

  5. Remove the URL in the field or Click the blue dot to Clear Media

Dynamic

A dynamic video source allows you to specify a video source that might change depending on the different parameters available at the time.

It will update automatically.

It relies ACF Pro dynamics.

Set up ACF Dynamic Video

  • Navigate to the WordPress dashboard.

  • Find Custom Fields.

  • Click "+ Add Field Group".

  • Name your New Field Group.

  • Find Field Type.

  • Choose URL in the dropdown.

  • Input a Field Label.

  • Click "Save Changes" to save.
